Why Stump Grinding?

Do you have a tree stump that is in the way or taking up valuable space in your garden or property that you would rather be able to re-use for replanting, re-turfing or paving over?

Tree stumps and large roots left in the soil can also provide a food source for pathogenic organisms such as honey fungus which can then spread to other areas of the garden, possibly resulting in the loss of several other trees and shrubs. How does it work?

Stump grinding is a process whereby a machine with a toothed spinning wheel moves from side to side, gradually going deeper and deeper. This is usually carried out to a depth of 10-12inches where surprisingly most stumps disappear!

After the site is assessed, we can make a recommendation that is tailored to your needs and budget.

We can access most gardens with our pedestrian machines that can be carried up and down stairs and fit through a standard garden gate or doorway. For larger sites and stumps, a self-propelled hydraulic machine is used to mechanise the process, improve efficiency and reduce operator fatigue.
